Over the past 25+ years we’ve perfected charter busing… it certainly wasn’t easy.  We earned that status through great customer service, unique charitable efforts and so many other factors. In fact, we keep an eye on other complementary companies that are ‘Gold Standards’ in their respective industries. It motivates us!  Today, we want to take the time to highlight LEGO (aka The Lego Group) for their amazing relief efforts focusing on children’s learning needs in the wake of COVID-19.

LEGO is a partner of the World Economic Forum and strives to support children around the world.  They have recently launched two fabulous initiatives during this COVID-19 crisis that center around vulnerable children in refugee camps and children experiencing quarantine in urban areas.  These initiatives are unique and much needed! Firstly, they have decided to donate $50 million in order to ensure children, affected by the COVID-19 crisis, continue to have access to learning through play.  If you are reading this and happen to be a parent homeschooling your kids, you can certainly relate to its importance. LEGO will reach children in emergency situations with essential supplies which will help to galvanize their education and their play across communities most in need.

Secondly, and in addition to the above, LEGO has also launched a new website that urges families all across the work to easily connect and enjoy play based learning across various social media channels. It’s a completely free site to share creativity and play ideas, learn from LEGO designers and help children to continue building life-long skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and developing new forms of fun while they are unfortunately  away from school. This will surely help to reduce friction by lifting the stress off of parents with this free, seamless resource.

Please join us in giving our hats off to LEGO and be sure to book your trip there!  Gathering a group to rent a charter bus is a great way to get to a LEGOLAND safely and sanitarily. A charter bus provides the unique ability for you to be in control during your travels – since you know everyone you’re traveling with! And, when you choose US Coachways, remember it’s always your bus, your group, your way.

What’s new at LEGOLAND?

Speaking of LEGOLAND, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that a trip to one of their properties makes for the perfect outing for kids of all ages (and adults too).  LEGOLAND’s are great fun, educational and creative destinations. Some of our popular charters are bringing groups for day trips to LEGOLAND Florida, LEGOLAND Boston discovery center, and/or LEGOLAND California.  Luckily for the metropolitan and tri-state areas, a new LEGOLAND theme park and LEGOLAND New York Resort, is expected to open early 2021 in Goshen, NY, which is about 60 miles north of New York City.  They are all temporarily shut down in the wake of COVID-19, but they will surely reopen and it’s a great time to secure your group reservations and take advantage of the US Coachways Worry-Free Travel Policy.
